    Storage

    - Harrison's Bird Foods do not contain artificial preservatives.
    - Do not repackage into other containers. Squeeze air out of bag, seal and store. If zip becomes damaged, roll bag down and clip shut with chip clip or clothespin.
    - Once opened, a bag of Harrison's should be used up within 8 weeks.
    - Storing food in fridge or freezer helps maintain freshness.

    Feeding Directions

    - Once converted to Harrison's Bird Foods birds should be fed in a planned regimen of individual meals.
    - Feed fresh food daily and do not "top off".

    Diet Allocation (by weight)

Most medium to large parrots as follows:
70% - Adult Lifetime Super Fine
25% - Organic dark green leafy, yellow meaty fresh veg & low sugar fruit
5% - Seed/Nut/Omega 3 (hemp, chia, flax, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, pistachio, almond, walnut, hazelnut)

    Daily
    Feeding Amounts

    CANARY/FINCH: 1 tsp (1 - 1.75 g)
    BUDGIE/PARROTLET: 1 - 2 tsp (1.5 - 3 g)
    COCATIEL/LOVEBIRD: 1.5 - 3 tsp  (2 - 5 g)

    Vegetables and Fruits

    - For most small birds, Harrison's suggests a maximum of 20% (by weight) of fresh, nutrient-dense, organic vegetables and sprouts.
    - See individual species for specific suggested items.
    - Use of a gram scale is encouraged.

    Omega 3

    - Harrison's suggests a maximum of 10% of the daily diet be made up of rich sources of omega 3 items (organic chia, flax, hemp seeds etc. as well as certain nuts high in omega 3)
    - Use of a gram scale is encouraged.

    Additional Needs

    - The importance of exercise in pet birds cannot be understated. Learn more about ways for your bird to exercise.
    - Most bird species require regular access to direct sunlight for optimal health.
    - Life enrichment, ie; foraging activities, puzzle toys, frequent social interaction and other enrichment methods are necessary to keep most pet birds healthy and happy. A lonely, bored pet bird is more susceptible to illness than a busy, active bird.

    Revived Bird 5/15/2022
My older parakeet had the tendency toward fatty liver from eating regular bird seed. He was on a slow downward spiral til my veterinarian suggested switching to Harrison's Bird Food. Now he can keep up with the younger bird.

Best recommendation by a bird specialist 5/2/2022
We live in southern Spain and were told by an avian specialist in Murcia that Harrison's was the best all-around food for our 2 cockatiels (siblings, 17 years old---their father lived for 27 years). We had always given them seeds but they are so much more active and love to eat it. They have free flight (in their room) every day, all day. We are moving soon to Greece and were happy to find it available at MyPetShop in Athens so there will always be a supply for them. We thank you for them!!

    Shanda 12/6/2021
My parakeet Shanda loves Super Fine! She eats both Adult and High Potency. She needed a little help switching diets but the Harrison's staff was great and after about 2 weeks she was switched over. Now it has been a year and we are on our fourth bag!

    budgies and linnie 2/18/2021
Best birds food ever!! Im so grateful , my almost 8 years old budgie has the energy of a 1 year old one! He and his best friend have beautiful colored and so soft feathers with that diet! They eat that since the beginnig and they never had to see the Vet in a lifetime! I just got today a young green linnie and for for sure Ill introduce him to this diet, with High Potency Super Fine formula for 6 months to start! Im so happy, best Food Brand EVER for all birds.

    All about Baby 2/8/2021
My beautiful 29 year old Blue-Fronted Amazon is one finicky bird. She has decided that she likes this formula a lot. Because she likes it, the Umbrella Cockatoo wants it too. If it makes them happy and gives good nutrition, I count it a win-win.
