Power Treats are an excellent choice for a number of situations including as a transitional tool for birds switching from seeds to Harrison’s nuggets, as an alternative supplemental treat for birds that like sweet items (instead of high sugar items etc.) and may be fed as up to 30% of many species’ total daily diet.

In most cases however, we do not recommend Power Treats as a sole diet. Though you would very likely see superior health results over seed/tablefoods in doing so, the sugar content is too high in Power Treats for this purpose.
If your bird is eating only Power Treats we recommend weaning the bird to High Potency with PTs making no more than 30% of the total daily diet.
